New York has a fantastic variety of corporate catering options. In a city that loves food, you’ll never be pressed to find something that will satisfy your employees. But all of that variety comes with a challenge: where do you start?

We’ve drawn on our experience with New York corporate catering to choose the five best options for you. Our customers absolutely love these restaurants and keep asking for more. We know you’ll love them, too.

From halal gyros to San-Francisco-style tacos, you’ll find something for everyone here.

The Halal Guys

American-influenced halal food might sound like an oxymoron. The Halal Guys prove that it’s not just possible, but delicious. Combining food truck sensibilities with traditional Islamic food preparation guidelines has resulted in a uniquely New York take on classic Middle Eastern and Mediterranean foods.

One great thing about catering your corporate event with The Halal Guys is that their catering menu is dead simple. Choose from small platters, large platters, or sandwiches for groups of up to 19 people. For 20+, it’s all served buffet-style. Choose chicken, beef gyro, or falafel in a small or regular platter size. Then add all the pita, lettuce, tomato, and sauce that you want (The Halal Guys’ signature white sauce is a staple).

And don’t forget to order toppings and sides like hummus, baba ganoush, jalapeños, and olives.

Single platters are $9–$10, so you don’t have to worry about dropping your whole catering budget on a single meal. And with falafel being a great choice for any Halal Guys meal, you can easily cater to vegetarians. Skip the pita and you have a gluten-free option, too!

Tina’s Cuban Cuisine

Slow cooking, served fast. That’s the philosophy behind Tina’s Cuban. This is authentic, traditional Cuban food that can’t be imitated.

It starts with great appetizers, like empanadas, rellenas, and tamales—crispy, fried treats with a variety of seasoned and marinated meats (or cheese for vegetarians). Entrees are similarly Caribbean: grilled and baked chicken, shredded beef, pork, and shrimp are mainstays. All with lots of garlic and onions.

You can also order sandwich platters; don’t miss the classic Cuban, a pressed sandwich with ham, roast pork, swiss cheese, and pickles. There are several other sandwich options with various meats and toppings, and they’re all served with fries or sweet potato fries.

Because everything is served in trays or as a platter, it’s easy to order and pay for your Tina’s meal. Entrees come in half trays that feed 10 or full trays that feed 20. Half trays range from $65–90. Sandwich trays come with 10 assorted sandwiches for $95.

Corporate catering in New York doesn’t have to be a traditional New York pizza. Try Tina’s Cuban for something new!

Blue Smoke

This barbecue joint is inspired by the South—but it’s influenced by New York. You get a corporate catering experience that’s a mix of flavors tailored perfectly for the city we call home.

One way to simplify your ordering is by choosing a station or two. The pig roast station is exactly what it sounds like; a whole roast hog with cornbread, sesame coleslaw, and macaroni and cheese on the side. Or the slider bar for more options for your employees. And, believe it or not, there’s a vegetarian station with cheeses, crudité, and devilled eggs. In short, you’ll find something for everyone at Blue Smoke.

Of course, you can get more traditional barbecue options served family-style. Smoked chicken and sausage jambalaya, barbecue chicken, oak-smoked pulled pork, and grits are all on offer. And there are set menus, too.

Because of the wide variety of options, it’s hard to typify the prices for corporate catering from Blue Smoke. There are buffet-style options for $39–$59 per person. Stations range from $17–$32 per person. And sides vary quite a bit.

There’s one thing you can be sure of when you choose Blue Smoke for catering your corporate event in New York: no one will go hungry! That’s one of the reasons it’s on our Best of Fooda NYC 2019 list.

Dos Toros

Oliver and Leo grew up in Northern California, eating at San Francisco taquerias. They weren’t happy when they moved to New York and couldn’t find a similar experience. So they decided to start their own. The result is Dos Toros, and it’s a great West Coast experience for East Coasters.

The two brothers use fresh ingredients and traditional slow-cooking methods to capture the taste of their childhood. Naturally raised meats and top-quality Hass avocados top it off.

And they make it easy to order your catering. The spread is $14.95 per person plus 5% gratuity and 5% transportation fee. If you have 25 people that need to eat, you can get a huge mix of everything you could possibly want to put on your tacos, from grilled steak and braised pork to farro and Mexican rice. You’ll get a variety of sauces, too—just beware of the habanero hot sauce. It’s no joke.

Dos Toros is vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free friendly. Plus they’re really punctual. Which you’ll appreciate when you have 25 or 30 hungry people waiting on tacos.

fresh&co

If you’re looking for fresh, creative meals that are as interesting as they are great, fresh&co is your caterer. The restaurant owns a farm in Long Island and partners with local farmers to make sure every ingredient is as fresh as possible, from the chicken to the salads to the seafood.

It’s hard to sum up what fresh&co offers, because they offer just about everything. Breakfast bowls, avocado toast, and yogurt parfaits. Healthy sandwiches with chicken, salmon, and vegan Beyond meat. Family-style salads and grain bowls. Korean barbecue tofu. Seared salmon with mango salsa. Themed baskets. Hors d’oeuvres. Desserts.

In short, you can get whatever you want from fresh&co. No matter what kind of New York corporate catering you’re looking for, you’ll find it here. And, although it’s hard to give any sort of representative pricing, believe us when we say that it’s very affordable. Your accountant will be happy with your choice.

And, as a bonus, fresh&co is committed to being eco-friendly. So you can feel good about your choice.
