The 2024 Workplace: Elevating Experiences with Local Food

Complete with the latest 2024 employee survey data and trends, this guide is designed to help you transform your workplace into one that resonates with the expectations and values of today’s modern workforce.

Finding corporate catering in LA can be a challenge. Not because the options are limited, but because there are so many different choices that it’s hard to pick one.

We’ve gotten to know a lot of corporate caterers in LA, so we’re going to make your choice an easy one. These are five of the catering partners that our clients absolutely love. They serve American classics, Polynesian staples, Mexican favorites, and more.

When you need a corporate caterer in LA, you can’t go wrong with any of these five great restaurants.

Lemonade

If you’re looking for fresh, look no further than Lemonade. Chef Alan Jackson puts a premium on fresh, healthy ingredients that provide a new spin on some dishes you might not expect to be so sophisticated.

From the traditional (grilled cheese) to the trendy (poké bowls), you’ll find it at Lemonade. Every dish is made with the freshest possible ingredients with an emphasis on local options sourced from California growers—so you can expect your avocado cherry tomato salad or green chicken chile to be from a local farm.

This mix of ingredients and dishes makes Lemonade a great catering choice if you’re looking for vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options.

At this point, you might be asking if meals are eye-wateringly expensive. But you’ll be surprised at how affordable Lemonade catering is. A plate with a full sandwich, a side, and seasoned chips is only $12.95. A side of white truffle macaroni and cheese is less than $5. It’s hard to beat.

And we love their dedication to unique, friendly, casual, and fun food service. This is fine food, served fast, at an affordable price—a perfect combination for corporate catering in LA.

Fresh Corn Grill

This restaurant’s name was inspired by one of its first signature dishes: a salad with asparagus, corn, and zucchini, topped with avocado and tomatoes, all served on a bed of mixed greens.

But don’t worry if you’re not a fan of corn—this LA catering staple has plenty of other options. They’ve continued their California style with a wide variety of salads, pasta dishes, and sandwiches. And while they don’t sound as exotic as options from some other restaurants—you’ll find spaghetti and meatballs as well as four-cheese pizza on the menu—they’re made with serious dedication to quality and freshness.

You’ll find something for everyone at Fresh Corn Grill, from vegetarians to meatloaf lovers. And you won’t pay more than $14.75 person with their extensive list of packages, either. Everyone can order what they want without paying painful LA catering prices.

The catering menu at the Grill makes it easy to order, too; their packages let you pick from a smaller number of choices to craft the combination that’s perfect for your employees. Choose a sandwich package, enchilada package, taco package, or a mix of pasta, salads, and whatever else you’d like.

Another thing we love about Fresh Corn Grill is that you never have to order the same thing twice. With a variety of toppings, sauces, and sides, you can create new combinations for every meal.

Sweet Fin Poké

Poké is a trendy dish that combines rice or salad with seafood, vegetables, and flavorful sauces. Sweet Fin takes a traditionally Hawaiian dish and puts a California spin on it with ingredients like sriracha tuna, tofu, spicy mayo sauce, and cauliflower rice.

The menu is packed full of possible add-ons, including macadamia nuts, wasabi peas, charred habanero, mango, pickled ginger, sundried tomatoes, green sriracha, and dozens of other options.

Sweet Fin offers a variety of plant-based bowls that replace seafood with eggplant and mushroom, sweet potato, and shiitake chile tofu. Of course, there are traditional options, too, like albacore and salmon. And those ingredients meet Sweet Fin’s philosophy of “Pole to Bowl”—as fresh as possible.

In short, you can find a dish for everyone at Sweet Fin. Even if they’ve never heard of poké bowls.

We love the corporate catering prices at Sweet Fin, too. You can order a classic package for $14.95 per person or a premium package for $21.95. Each comes with a specific combination of ingredients and is served buffet-style, so everyone can create the bowl they want.

The Counter

Not every burger place serves the burgers you’ve had for decades. The Counter is proof. It’s about creativity—trying new things, experimenting with interesting toppings, even replacing the burger itself with options like fried chicken and bison. There are even two different vegan patty options (including the very trendy Impossible Burger).

But the extras are where The Counter shines. 10 kinds of cheese. 17 different sauces, from mayo to buttermilk ranch to apricot sauce. All the toppings and sides you could want. You could eat here for years and never have the same burger twice.

For corporate catering, The Counter also provides a custom burger bar where everyone can create their own burger masterpiece (or Frankensteinian horror). Just choose the proteins, buns, cheese, toppings, and sides you want, and let everyone combine them how they like. (We recommend the bacon onion jam. It’s amazing.)

One of the best things about The Counter is that you can easily order food for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. You can even construct a vegan burger, from the patty to the toppings, without difficulty. It’s hard to find a burger place that absolutely everyone will love, but if that’s your goal, this is a great bet.

Catering prices vary by location, so your best bet is to call your local Counter (or have us do it for you) to get the details.

Sharky’s Woodfired Mexican Grill

There’s a reason that Sharky’s has been voted the top Mexican restaurant in LA 10 years in a row. Since 1992, Steve Paperno has been combining authentic Mexican flavors with innovative ideas to create an experience that can’t be replicated. Healthy, organic, fresh ingredients and unique cooking methods create Mexican food that is wholly from Los Angeles.

Their catering menu provides a lot of easy options for your lunch. You can get a burrito party pack, wraps, tacos, or build your own fajita bar. Throw in some taquitos as an appetizer and a few salads, and you have a meal your entire organization will enjoy.

Ingredients like tofu and quinoa are perfect for health-conscious eaters, and the power plate option lets people create the dish that works best for them. Be sure not to miss the quesadilla grande!

Sharky’s has 30 locations around LA and the surrounding areas, so be sure to check your local catering menu, as some of them differ. But they all have one thing in common: you’ll get great Mexican food that fits your budget.

With a wide variety of options, you can pick and choose items that work with the budget you have. A burrito party pack, for example, will run between $69 and $75 and feed up to eight people. A dozen taquitos, with guacamole, sour cream, and achiote sauce is only $39. A large caesar salad is $36. Mix and match to create the perfect catered lunch for you.
