What would you say is your most popular dish?

Our Spicy Rock Shrimp is our most popular appetizer. The shrimp is deep fried and served with a sweet and spicy dressing and wasabi sauce. As far as sushi goes, the Northern Liberty Maki is our best selling special roll. It’s shrimp tempura and avocado topped with spicy tuna.

If someone had never been to Seiko Japanese, what would you suggest they try first?

Our special maki rolls are a good place to start. They reflect our desire to be innovative and create modern interpretations of classic dishes. I recommend the Pegasus Maki, which features shrimp tempura and eel with a cap of torched scallop. Our Tuna Halo Maki is another unique roll. It sweetens the palate with eel, avocado and plum sauce, which is topped with tuna and pressed in a bamboo frame.

What sets Seiko Japanese apart from other Asian food in Philly?

I think the variety on our menu makes us stand out. Customers have a lot of options, which makes it easy to dine out in a group.
