Here at Fooda we are proud to feature a diverse roster of restaurants, to be able to offer our customers some of the best foods from all over the world right in their offices. Every year we hold a vote for the ‘Best of Fooda’ to give our hardworking restaurants the props they deserve. And to give our consumers a heads up on what to order for lunch. We were excited to see which restaurants you’ve chosen as your favorites, but the votes are finally in and we’re very proud to announce our winners in each city.
BBQ: Righteous Que – Located in the heart of East Cobb, Righteous ‘Que combines a love of homemade BBQ with a passion for giving back to the Metro-Atlanta community. From ice cold sweet tea to their famous secret recipe white sauce, pulled pork to Taste of Atlanta’s award winning Homemade Oatmeal Cream Pies, Righteous ‘Que is dedicated to providing the perfect southern meal.
Mexican: Tijuana Joe’s – Tijuana Joe’s promises to make you a regular. They pride themselves on being a family enterprise known for its delicious food and inviting atmosphere. Specializing in grandma classics with a modern twist and killer Margaritas, TJ’s has something for everybody. They even serve wings, cause, ya know, Atlanta.
Southern Cuisine: Sisters of the New South – Sisters of The New South proclaim themselves “the best soul food in Georgia” and Fooda customers seem to agree. With a motto like “Real Southern Cooking” you know you can count on them for all of your favorite soul food classics.
Mediterranean: Pita Pit – Feast your eyes (and belly) on the healthier alternative to fast food. Pita Pit believes you don’t need to sacrifice your health to get a quick, tasty meal. That’s why they start with a unique soft and roll-able pita bread, then fill it with your choice of lean, grilled meats, fresh vegetables, flavorful cheeses, and savory sauces.
Asian: Sa Pa – From the scratch pho broth to the chef’s mother’s home made egg rolls, everything at Sa Pa is made fresh, in-house daily from real ingredients. Sa Pa combines everything you love about fast-casual dining while keeping in tune with traditional Vietnamese flavors.
Indian: Curry House – Curry House invites you to come enjoy the superb taste of their traditional Indian cooking. Every major region of India brings its own unique dishes and subtle variations to popular dishes and Curry House offers a wide variety of vegetarian and meat entrees to accommodate diverse tastes and preferences from many regions of India.
Mexican: Papagayo – Papagayo is serving up Mexican food prepared with the finest local vegetables, fresh made tortillas and the freshest proteins found. Between the blend of mouth watering Margaritas and the fresh delicious food Papagayo has become a regular stop for lunch, dinner and drinks.
Mediterranean: The Grill – The Grill is on a mission to introduce Bostonians to Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine through fresh, healthy, made-to-order menu items. If you’ve had it, you know their hummus is some of the best in the city!
Asian: Thai 55 – A solid option for both Thai and Vietnamese food, Thai 55 has been winning over Chicagoans with their extensive menu of traditional, well prepared dishes. Besides, what other place can you get Pho and Pad Thai in one setting.
Mexican: Mercadito – A go to for authentic cuisine, specialty tequila and mezcal cocktails and a prime location in the heart of River North. Mercadito’s talented culinary team features popular Mexican dishes, including their signature tacos, fresh salsa and guacamole, ceviche, elote, mexicano and their killer lobster mac and cheese.
Mediterranean: Pita Heaven – What started out as a personal desire for quality vegetarian and vegan restaurant food options, has flourished into a thriving family-owned restaurant. Pita Heaven offers only the freshest organic foods selected each day from local farmers markets and co-ops to ensure the highest quality and freshness.
Latin: Maria’s Brazilian Kitchen – MBK has its roots in Sao Paulo, Brazil. From the backyard flavor of the churrasco chicken, to the street-food empanadas called coxinhas, fresh baked pao de quejo( cheese bread puffs), and brigadeiros (traditional fudge ball treats), the flavor of Maria’s Brazilian Kitchen is authentic Brazilian flare.
American: Blackwood BBQ – Blackwood BBQ takes pride in the process, and has modeled their recipes after the old school way of slow smoking the best cuts of fresh, never frozen meats sourced from familiar farms. Its’ a throwback to simpler times, and sure it takes a bit longer, but they do it that way cause they love it, and want you to love their BBQ too.
Best Mexican: Mo’s to Go – Mo’s To Go wants you to enjoy a great family style meal within the without the mess and preparation. They’re serving up a diverse menu of family style recipes, made from the freshest ingredients such as tostadas, chicken Parm and even falafel.
Best Indian: Samosa Hut – Samosa Hut and Grill is a halal Indian-Fusion restaurant, located in Irving, TX. They offer a unique menu and are well renowned for our extraordinary samosas. Come in and experience a fusion of food you’ve never had anywhere else before!
Best BBQ: Bone Daddy’s– This is Texas people. If you don’t have a hankering for BBQ, you’re in the wrong place. Bone Daddy’s House of Smoke has nine locations across the state to meet all your pit-smoked meat and BBQ cravings, serving up a diverse array of southern sides, drinks and desserts as well.
Best American: Kitchen Dallas – The kitchen serves lovingly and thoughtfully prepared food made from locally sourced ingredients, supporting our Farmers, Ranchers, and artisanal food purveyors. The Kitchen is a place where you can leave the worries and stresses of the day and enjoy soul-satisfying food and those are the feelings KITCHEN wants to invoke when you eat their food.
Sandwich: Maine-ly Sandwiches – Get a taste of the Pacific Northeast deep down in the heart of Texas at this little sandwich shop. Maine–ly Sandwiches specializes in authentic Maine lobster rolls and promises theirs is the best in the state. They also offer a variety of traditional deli sandwiches as well as soups, salads, sides and desserts.
Caribbean: Caribbean Cuisine – Caribbean Cuisine – Order from this hidden gem in Houston for some of the best jerk chicken & jamaican classics the city has to offer. Customer favorites include oxtails, rice & peas, callaloo and spiced Jamaican beef patties.
Mediterranean: Medi Grill – Medi Grill offers delicious Mediterranean dining and takeout and has been recognized for its outstanding cuisine, excellent service and friendly staff. This spot is known for its modern interpretation of classic dishes and its insistence on only using high quality fresh ingredients
BBQ: OMG BBQ – Texas takes their BBQ very seriously, so this best of Fooda is a really big deal. This BBQ spot is a tasty destination for meat eaters the whole state over but our Fooda customers can get it delivered hot & fresh at the click of a button.
Asian: Time for Thai – Time for Thai offers signature Thai food prepared take-out style with high quality convenient delivery to your workplace during lunch time. Pair entrees with rice, dumplings or eggrolls to make it a meal!
Mexican: Freebirds – Freebirds World Burrito is the fast casual burrito joint with an unapologetically independent approach to feeding both the belly and the soul. Come here for a fresh take on burritos, bowls, tacos & salads.
Mediterranean: Kabab & More offers fresh, made to order kabobs AND Persian food in DTLA. Come here to get spiced & roasted meats, sides and sauces made in house as well as traditional Middle Eastern stews and soups for when you want to try something different.
Mexican: MMM…Tacos – In a town full of delicious tacos, only one place can reign supreme. This year, our winner is MMM Tacos, is a taco truck in Orange serving carnitas, pastor, chorizo, and much more in their tacos, as well as hot dogs and fajitas. Don’t miss their aguas frescas!
Asian: Gentaro Soba – A 2000-year-old tradition recreated with a modern experience and design. Originally from Tokyo, Gentaro Soba offers house made soba noodles made from buckwheat, plus satisfying rice and salad bowls. You can even make your own bowl and throw a personalized spin on ancient tradition.
American: Meme’s Texas BBQ Smokehouse is a family affair. Named after his grandfather, Meme’s prides themselves on using old school techniques and custom blended spice rubs that would have made grandpa proud. Stop in for the ribs, brisket or pulled pork and see what all the hype is about! You won’t be disappointed!
American: Jason’s Deli – Jason’s Deli’s menu is bursting with fresh, seasonal, nutrient-packed goodness. The possibilities are endless here, featuring an extensive menu of hand crafted sandwiches and salads to choose from or build to suit your own tastes. They also feature, soups, desserts, drinks and side making them a full service option for all your lunchtime needs.
Mexican: Amigo’s – Delicious authentic Mexican food in the heart of Bourbon and BBQ town. Amigo’s is serving up street style tacos, tortas, gorditas and more – all stuffed with fresh roasted meats and produce. It’s no wonder Nashville Fooda customers voted this spot their #1.
BBQ: Blue Moon BBQ – Blue Moon has a long, delicious history of great Southern-style ‘que made in the time-honored, traditional way — with quality meats cooked low and slow over a hickory wood-fired pit and spiced with a mouthwatering, award-winning bar-b-que sauce. gham-born brothers’ commitment to top-notch bar-b-que. Latin American: Califarmia Food Truck is a local farm to truck menu you can find rolling through Nashville, TN. They value local and fresh ingredients that are good for people and taste great! Mediterranean: Athens Greek Cuisine – You don’t have to leave Nashville to get a taste of the Mediterranean. Athens Greek Cuisine is a hidden gem that delivers an authentic dining experience at an incredible value. This family-owned restaurant is renowned for its friendly service, melt-in-your-mouth lamb, flaky kotopita, and decadent baklava. Not to mention, they serve breakfast all day. What’s not to love?
Asian: Maison Thai – Based on Chef Sarawut Woody Phiansabai’s diverse culinary background, Maison Thai serves traditional and authentic Thai dishes as well as modern takes on well-loved favorites. Infused with fresh seasonal ingredients, this unique Thai cuisine is one New Yorkers can’t pass up.
Korean: Korilla BBQ – Korilla BBQ redefines what New Yorkers know about Korean Barbecue. People’s Choice: Bravo House of Enchiladas – Bravo House of Enchiladas is a cornerstone in the San Jose community and is known for its modern interpretation of classic dishes and its insistence on only using high quality fresh ingredients.
