Opened by the Frias family in 1964, Boca Chica is a Twin Cities institution. Serving up flavorful and authentic Mexican cuisine is their trademark and its won them spots on a number of Best Of lists, including this one. Maybe it’s because they serve traditional dishes such as guisados and sopes, maybe it’s because they make just about everything from scratch, or maybe it’s because they’ve cracked the code on how to make a perfectly fiery salsa. Whatever the reason, people who like lunch eat lunch at Boca Chica.
