How Does Fooda Card Work

Fooda will work with your company to configure your Fooda Card to meet your employees’ needs. We will help you configure allowance amounts, location rules, ordering platform rules, and more to help customize your Fooda Card program as needed. This customization allows you to pay for all or part of your employee’s Fooda Card meal.

Once all customizations have been finalized, all eligible employees will be issues a virtual credit card through our website or consumer apps. Employees will link a personal credit card for overcharges on their Fooda Cards for an easy and seamless ordering experience every time.

Employees can order from restaurants online or tap their Fooda Card in person (within the guidelines set by your company) so they can enjoy food exactly when they want and where they want it from.

The Fooda Card is a flexible and customizable meal benefit card that allows users to order food from a variety of local restaurants and eateries. It’s designed to make meal benefits more convenient, affordable, and impactful.

Fooda works with your office administrators to customize and configure your Fooda Card service to your company's needs. Spend per day, eligibility criteria, date & time usage restrictions, and location specifications are all set by your administrative team.

The Fooda Card is issued as a virtual credit card to eligible employees. Within the Fooda app, employees’ personal credit cards or debit cards can be seamlessly linked to cover any overages that occur when spending more than their provided daily budget. Employees can easily be onboarded and issued a Fooda Card within the Fooda For Business Dashboard at any time without the need to reach out for support.

Employees can order exactly what they want from where they want and companies don’t have to worry about monitoring for abuse as our employee meal cards can be restricted to only restaurants and eateries. The platform’s flexibility allows ordering with UberEats, DoorDash, or any other delivery service, in addition to in-person options.

The Fooda Card can be used at restaurants or delivery services within the geographic area, and allotted time window that your company sets up.

No, the Fooda Card can only be used to make purchases from restaurants, eateries and similar.

If an employee buys lunch at a time or place not allowed by their employer's Fooda Card policy, the transaction is declined, and they receive a notification describing the reason.

The Fooda Card offers a digital card that can be used with a smartphone wherever contactless payment is accepted. Simply select the Fooda Card in your digital wallet and hold your device to the Point of Sale reader (Square, Clover, etc.).

Employees may use the card for 3rd party ordering if their employer has approved these as accepted vendors in your usage rules. (DoorDash, UberEATS, etc.)

The Fooda Card can be used to order online where employer policy allows. In some cases, your company may prefer to allow only specific restaurants or services. Either way, the card is used online like a normal credit card, by entering a Credit Card Number, CV, and office Zip Code.

If you are accessing the Fooda website on your phone, you may need to use portrait mode to ensure that you can see all card information.

If you have removed yourself from your company's subsidy program you will not be able to use your Fooda Card until you are reinstated. Talk to your office's program administrator to be added back into the subsidy program.
